Matt DeMello (himself) The fruition of Disco's already prolific AF year in quarantine. A thorough self exploration as a songwriter of golden schmalz and incredible lyric detail.

SkyYamaha The perfect Highway nostalgia / sunset blues album encapsulates a feeling for longing and love you leave in your rear view mirror. Disco Sam's vocals are incredible distinctive, the use of delay and lingering on notes just a tad longer than normal is almost a guilty pleasure. Interlaced with grooves and hooks galore, I'm so glad I managed to snag a CD, will be go on many drives with this one. Favorite track: Not Like The First Time.

Shane Dangers i am drawn to aching disappointment themes in music, heartbreak, lost love. The fretless bassline is very catchy too, and Disco Sam voice is dreamy..
highly recommended! this has high replay value! Favorite track: Not Like The First Time.

CDR030: Born out of an especially prolific and creative period of my life, Weekend Lovers appeals to the listeners who want to enter someone else’s private world. Is there a sonic equivalent to a voyeur? The album makes for an echo of the femme fatales disguised in modern women that have damaged periods of my life. The shadows of past women reverb as much as the vocals, dissolving and condensing across the frets of the bass and keys of the piano. However, while the music chronicles the sonic ecology of heart-break, we are not totally doomed to tracks of complete misery. As the album advances, it simultaneously follows my introspective evolution of my amour proper, rooted most deeply in the process of creative development in music.
