1.
An angry robot stares electrical rage through its bicycle receptor eyes Tries to fry every opposition to its primary programming But you my love don’t need to take the program seriously You can lay back in velvet grass Engrossed entwined With your own mind and body and love and light Invite this moment - deeper and deeper Where you said you could go next Invite this moment - deeper and deeper You my love Can tell the robot no Tell the robot no no no Break away from the squares Violent 90 degree turns And open open open arms And fly, rise in spirals Open open open arms And rise, rise in spirals Spiral up and down With the waves and with the waves And up and down All the way, and all the way And up and down And with the waves, and with the waves And all around Your colors are so beautiful Your colors are so beautiful Your colors are so beautiful Your colors are so beautiful And take flight Flight, flight flight flight flight flight flight flight flight flight flight Take flight flight flight flight Take flight flight flight flight Take flight flight flight flight Take flight flight flight flight Take flight
2.
Careful and indigenous To this suburban neighbourhood Every wonder Taken to the stake and burned through the heart Where oh where oh where do they go. When it’s ashes ashes ashes ashes ashes All fall down And it’s ashes, ashes Where do they go? On the street Keep your feet Keep your feet clean Hands up Mind in the gutter Keep! Keep your feet Off the street! To keep the streets cleans!

about

CDR045: Angry robots will the world to conform to their own standards - but their digital desire is not strong enough to break us. Standing tall in the face of the machine - Sidekick Wave unleashes their first single from the upcoming album “Withered” (out August 6 on nostalgie de la boue).

“Rise In Spirals” is an industrial/psychedelic dream pop song about love in the post-modern age. Hallucinogenic guru-guided lovers pass through the cage’s gates and into the light of renewed awareness where colors merge and truth is found in the center of the fiercest storm. “RIS” is presented in both an edited version and in its original untouched demo form.

As a b-side we are given a glimpse into “Clean Streets/Dirty Hearts”. A drum machine, post-punk meditation on suburban decay. The version here is a stripped down alternate mix of the upcoming album track.
